An Indian man was caught at Hyderabad’s Rajiv Gandhi International Airport with a whole lotta treasure in an unusual, and one would have to assume, uncomfortable place. That’s right, you guessed it, up his rear end.
Customs personnel decided to conduct a search after finding several LED lamps in his checked luggage. 8 gold bars, each weighing 100g, were found hidden in the lamps.
The staff suspected there was more gold to be found so they put him through a metal detector and sure enough it went off! 12 more gold bars were found in his derriere for a total of 20 gold bars or 1.2 kg (2.65 lbs). OUCH!
That’s a veritable pirates booty!
