Oranges Are Not Orange
In regions where oranges commonly grow, the temperature in the air doesn’t get cold enough for the chlorophyll inside the oranges to break down and give them their orange color. This creates yellow and green oranges, even when they are ripe. Oranges that are imported are treated with an ethgleno gas which helps to get rid of the chlorophyll and turns the oranges their normal, typical orange color we are all used to.
Strawberries, In Technical Terms Are NOT Fruit
Berries typically have seeds on the inside of them, but Strawberries have their seeds located on the outside. With this definition, they really are not a vegetable either! I don’t know about you, but whatever they are, they surely are yummy!
Cranberries are NOT Grown under Water
Cranberries get flooded when it is time for harvesting. Many cranberries are artificially flooded out with water that way machines can pick them off the vines easily when it comes time to harvest. A tiny portion of cranberry farmers however will use a dry harvesting method instead.

This is the reason when you look through apples at the supermarket, they look almost identical. Specific varieties of fruits like Fuji Apples are supposed to remain consistent with one another; this is why they are cloned so there is no unpredictability with their sexual reproduction.

Helicopter pilots get paid a pretty penny to be on stand by in the summer, just in case it rains. This may seem silly, but farmers who raise cherries, considered a delicate and expensive fruit know keeping their cherry trees dry is well worth it.
