Natural Skincare Solutions
Our skin is constantly exposed to all external factors, making it very sensitive. Our skin’s health and appearance are affected by wind, sun, pollution, aging, and many other factors.
In addition, the chemicals we use daily reduce its elasticity and moisture and eventually dry it out, allowing it to be easily damaged and subject to problems.
Our skin also suffers from hormonal imbalances, unhealthy diets, and stress. The most common skin care problems include blackheads, warts, skin tags, age spots, and clogged pores.
Luckily, there are many natural ways to treat these problems and improve the health and appearance of the skin. Check out our tips on natural skincare solutions.
Skin Tags
Skin tags are growths that usually appear on the upper chest, neck, armpits, and eyelids, and on areas where the skin rubs against the skin. Here are some natural ways to remove them:
Apple cider vinegar - soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar and dab the skin tag. Leave it until it gets darker, and it will eventually fall.
Castor oil and baking soda - prepare a paste of these ingredients and rub on the skin tag. Secure with a bandage and leave it for 2 days.
Ginger - Rub a slice of ginger for 7 minutes every day for 2 weeks.
Tea tree oil - add a few drops of this oil in a little water and dip a cotton ball in it. Apply it on the tape, secured with a bandage, and repeat a few times a day for a month.
Warts
Warts are small bumps on the skin caused by HPV and are usually treated with freezing and/or salicylic acid. Yet here's how to treat them naturally:
Banana Peel - rub a banana peel on warts before going to sleep for 2 weeks.
Honey - apply honey on wart at bedtime and cover it with a bandage. Repeat until it disappears.
Garlic - at bedtime, crush some cloves of garlic, rub them on the wart and secure with a bandage. Repeat for 2 weeks.
Apple cider vinegar - soak a cotton ball in apple cider vinegar, apply it on the wart, fix it with a bandage and leave it until morning. Then, replace with a new cotton pad.
Age Spots
The main causes of age spots are sun exposure and the aging of the liver, and they usually appear on the hands, face, and forearms. Here's how to treat them:
Lemon - soak a cotton ball in a little lemon juice, and rub it on age spots a few times a day.
Onion - rub age spots with onion juice for 10 minutes. Rinse and repeat every day.
Aloe Vera Gel - leave some aloe vera gel on the age spots for 30 minutes, then rinse.
Horseradish - add a horseradish to a little apple cider vinegar, and apply the remedy for age spots.
Clogged Pores
The accumulation of oil clogs pores, causing bumps on the skin. Here's how to unclog pores naturally:
Sugar and lemon juice - mix a little lemon juice and sugar and use the dough to rub it on the affected areas in a circular motion using a cotton washcloth. Wash in lukewarm water.
Steaming - wash your face with cold water and place the face above a pan with hot water. Expose with steam for 15 minutes and then rinse with warm water. Clean the skin with apple cider vinegar. Be careful with this trick, you want to steam (not burn!) your face.
