How to Make Homemade Poptarts
This is a great recipe for any leftover pie crust or if you are interested in making your own breakfast treat. It doesn't require many ingredients or prep time, so start now and you can be eating one before you know it!
Homemade Poptarts
Materials needed:
Pie Crusts
Jar of jam
1 cup icing sugar
1-2 tbsp milk or cream
Sprinkles
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Cut the pie crusts into long strips as shown in the video. Add 2 tbsp of jam to each crust.
3. Fold each pie crust in half over the jam and press down to tighten each one. Make indents around the edges with a fork.
4. Place in the oven and bake at 425 for 8-10 minutes.
5. Add the icing sugar and half of the milk or cream to a mixing bowl. Stir.
6. Add the other half of the milk or cream and stir until the mixture becomes frosting.
7. Add frosting to each poptart and spread evenly across the top. Add sprinkles and you're all done!
The great part about this recipe is that you can skip Poptarts the next time you are in the breakfast aisle at the grocery store, because now you know how to make your own!
